Space Redemption

Listen Sky Axe
Listen Quartet

Tim Conrardy is an expert sound designer who has worked on presets for many commercial and freeware plug-ins and he is also responsible for many of the factory preset patches that ship on Receptor. Tim composed these three songs in between his Receptor preset creation duties.

Space Redemption was recorded and rendered in Tracktion and uses these Receptor Multi-patches from Tim\'s preset bank: RYM Centrific, LED Distorto, KBD Strings&Rhodes, SFX Deep Space and PAD TriStarNebula.

Tim created Sky Axe to demonstrate Receptor in use as a guitar processor. The whole thing was recorded live, with the drums from an EMU MP7 being fed into the AUX inputs of Receptor to allow them to be processed "live"! Tim used used the "GTR Hillage" preset from his guitar bank (Hillage obviously referring to Steve Hillage, former guitarist for Gong and now with System7).

Quartet is an orchestral piece and uses Tim\'s preset bank with the ORC presets. Essentially Tim used Green Oak\'s Crystal VST Instrument as a "ROMpler" to create "real" orchestral sounds.
