Muse Research Welcomes FXpansion to the Receptor Platform

Anaheim, CA. January 15, 2004?Muse Research today announced a distribution agreement with London-based VST software developer FXpansion for the Receptor hardware plug-in player. Fxpansion are a leading developer of plug-in synths and effects for computers.

Receptor serves as hardware-based plug-in player
The Receptor hardware plug-in player allows a person to run VST format software synths or effects in an environment much like a dedicated piece of hardware. FXpansion software will be pre-installed on the Receptor's hard drive, and the customer can evaluate the software before making a purchase, which is done with a simple web transaction. Combining the power and flexibility of software with the ease-of-use and portability of hardware, Receptor makes it easy to fully exploit all that software synthesis has to offer.

"Fxpansion has distinguished itself as a cutting-edge developer, especially with respect to drum software" comments Bryan Lanser, VP of Business Development at Muse Research. "We look forward to bringing their remarkable synths and effects to the Receptor user" he adds.

"Receptor is a great concept, and we are excited about our partnership with Muse Research" says Rhiannon Bankston-Thomas, Director at FXpansion. "Its exciting for us to be able to reach new customers who are employing different systems to create music"
