These successes capped off 15 years experience in audio and multimedia engineering, including work at startups WaveFrame in Boulder, Co. and NeXT Inc. in Palo Alto. At E-mu, in 1984/85, Dana invented the key concepts behind Sound Designer, the initial software product from the successful startup Digidesign, which was later acquired by Avid. Dana holds five patents.
